  1. The Ohio State wrestling program has set its dates for the 2007 Coaches Clinic for Oct. 25-26 in St. John Arena. Junior High and High School coaches in the state of Ohio will receive an information packet in the fall. The price is $110.00 per coach.
  2. The Ohio State wrestling team's incoming freshman class for the 2007-08 season was deemed second-best in the nation Wrestling International Newsmagazine announced in its May issue. The No. 2 standing gives the Buckeyes the highest standing among Big Ten Conference schools. Oklahoma State was No. 1, while Virginia Tech rounded out the Top 3.
  3. Ohio State wrestling Buckeyes J Jaggers, Mike Pucillo and Chris Vondruska were named to the National Wrestling Coaches Association All-Academic Team the organization announced Monday. The three OSU honorees tied for the third-most for a school this year.
  4. There was plenty of nervous energy radiating from one, while the other attempted to use the nearly 20 minute drive to study for the Spanish midterm he would take later that day. A perfect example of the latter, as he, along with his teammate were going to spend the next 45 minutes explaining to 400 students at Souders Elementary School, a member of the Big Walnut School district in Central Ohio, the importance of academics and character as a part of the school's Right to Read week festivities. Not that Mike Pucillo, who just completed his redshirt freshman season with the Ohio State wrestling team, does not have the time management skills his teammate J Jaggers, a redshirt-sophomore, possesses. Pucillo just was a little nervous at the task that awaited him.
