    Default razegfx's log

    friday, january 2nd

    barbell complex x 3 @95lbs
    - 5 clean & press
    - 5 back squat
    - 5 push press
    - 5 deadlift
    - 5 bent-over rows

    dumbbell circuit x 1 @ 50lbs
    - 3 snatches per arm
    - 6 dumbbell swings
    - repeat 3x

50lb dumbbell bench press to failure (15-ish reps here)

first run through the complex was hell. the second was easy, and the third was...also hell. i think dont think i was amazingly warmed up for the first one, but it warmed me up for the second. and by the time the third one rolled around, the first two exhausted me. somehow it makes sense!

squat thrust -> bicep curl -> shoulder press -> overhead lunge (each leg) x 25
i did this with a weighted vest and two 15 pound dumbbells. felt like hell after this one, the 25 reps took about awhile to get through. 2-3 minutes-ish?

bas rutten workout tape (30 minutes)
an mma fighter, bas rutten (http://www.basrutten.tv/) produced a series of workout tapes designed for mma athletes. there's basically several cds, each lasting 30 minutes, where he plays the role of drill sargeant, and barks out movements for you to perform. some are geared towards striking while others are geared towards and grappling, each with exercises interpsresed between the actual fighting. i use these, and whenever an mma oriented techniqque comes up, i do somethign translates more to folkstyle wrestling. kinda reminds me of wrestling practice. this one made me feel like hell too!
