You shouldn't do squat workout one right after another; you'll burn yourself out, especially your legs. You need rest for your legs to grow and get stronger. I squat 2x a week. I usually rest 48 hours until my next squat session. For example: If I squatted on Monday, I would squat again on Thursday. Some weeks I only rest 24hours, but that's only if it's a short week. So basically you need at least 48hours of rest between squat sessions.

- 3 1/2 mile jog with a bit of sprinting
- Push ups - 30 - 20 - 15 - 10
- Chair dips - 20 - 20 - 15 -10 - 5
- Hindu Squats - 40 - 35 - 30 - 25 - 20
I was unable to complete the workout. I was feeling very light headed, fatigued, and exhausted after the squats. Most likely because I had very low calorie-intake today (lower than normal or anything healthy) and the jogging did take its toll on me. =/

Joe i was also from new jersey so I will keep an eye on you.
It seems you will lack a little experience at the state level but you can make up for that with heart/mental toughness and conditioning.
Stay focused on the basics, make sure you stay in good position at all times. That means stay in a good stance, hands up and out, and on your toes. Guys get sloppy and get out of their stance or drop their hands, stick their butt out and lean their shoulders over their feet. Fundamentals are the key forget about all the fancy moves. If you spend the next three months really practicing the details of keeping a good stance and having solid basic technique you will be fine.
Most of all completely believe in yourself. Do not give any opponent respect. I do not mean that you should be cocky or not prepare for an opponent. What I mean is do not go into a match thinking the other guy should win because of past accomplishments, rankings, or critics predictions. Tell yourself that you are the best and that you will outwork your opponent.
Wrestling is a mental sport if you believe that you will win and you wrestle with that belief you will put yourself in the best possible position.

Thanks!
Your right, I do lack the state - level experience. Farthest I went was regional (it was a very disappointing loss. =/ and placed at 4th place :o) Thanks for the advice but I do believe I have very good basics. But I'll keep an eye on that. :walkman:
I gotta say I am a bit frustrated with myself at this point. Because I did lose a noticeable amount of endurance, strength, and conditioning since not wrestling last year due to injury.
But I'll do my best to make up for that. :walkman:

- Bench Press - 4X5 90 pounds & 1x6 100 pounds (focused on good form and bringing barbell all the way down to me chest)
- Pull Ups (assists 16 pounds =( ) - 5XF - 7,6,5,5,4
- Chin Ups 2xF
- Dips - 5XF - 7,6,5,3,3
- Some type of ab exercise on machine that I don't know its name 5x5
- 10+ minute jog
- 40 blocks walked (to gym and back)
For the bench press I decided to focus on good form and i brought down the weight. Today I felt more comfortable with the pull ups but as always I hated the chin ups. I lose my grip on it toward my pinky side of my hands. I guess I just need to work on that. The dips got easier also but in the last 3 sets I would go down too low and I would just fall so I just went ahead with the next set.

I sort of disagree.
I would agree that if you're just jumping into serious lifting then squatting each and every day is probably a bad call.
However once you've been on an intense lifting plan for a while I don't think you'd have any problems with it.
I do variations of squats three times a week. Usually Monday/Tuesday/Thursday in terms of a split, but at times due to schedule I'll go Monday-Wednesday.

it depends on the lifting plan
since i lift more like gifovf, kettlebells, bodyweight etc, i can lift the same muscle group more often per week, since im not really even isolating muscles
if you do heavy and bulk, or greco's 5x5 plan, you are going to have to give your muscles a rest, because your legs are isolated, and then hammered
