    • Sit-ups - 60 - 50 - 40
    • Dips - 26 - 30 - 27 - 35
    • Jumping Squats - 25 - 30 - 30 - 25

    I have no idea why my max was 20 push ups when last week it was 30 push ups. I expected it to be higher because my endurance got better. But it actually went lower, its extremely weird and it took me by surprise! Any one got an explanation on why this would happen?

    Another thing that blew me out of my mind was the Hindu squats. I have no idea that I can do that many, and I still felt like I had a 100 in me but my body was tired and I think it was tricking me telling me it was useless. I need to discipline my body more. Anyhow, I decided that they got too easy and I moved on to jumping squats.

    I became aware that I was unconsciously cheating in my first set of sit-ups after the second set. So I became more strict in my form and made it harder for me after that.

    The jumping squats are really hard. They take a lot out of me. They drain me out of a lot of energy! But they are a great exercise and is well worth the effort. I will substitute these instead of Hindu squats from now on.

    Really inactive day today, I should of took a jog in the park. Next time I will invest more into my day. It is disappointing especially since I had a lot of free time today.

    Man, lemme say, my buttocks never ached so much lolz! They hurt from the jumping squats in yesterday's workout.

    • 2.5 mile jog
    • 5 of 100 meter up hill sprints
    • Pull ups 5x3 (no assist)
    • Push ups - 25 - 25 - 22 - 20

    Took it real easy today. Kind of like a rest day.

    I have no idea why I was doing bad today in the jog. Maybe it was because it was cold outside so I had to wear heavy and that probably got me tired more quickly? Also I had some issues with my knees today so that affected my jog too. But I am extremely disappointed in my cardio today.

    I was in the park jogging in the track and I figured there has to be somewhere I can do some pull-ups. And there was, so I just did 5 sets. They were tough with no assist.

    I tried the hill sprints, I did them in a place which by my judgment should be about 100 meters. It was at night and there was no body there at the park and I was getting really creeped out. I kept seeing some shadows and stuff lolz so I pushed the last couple of sets and got the heck out of there! lmao, I know, I can be a wuss sometimes.

    I got a little better at push-ups today, it increased from 20 to 25. But it is still a very weird event that my push-ups would go down from 30 reps to here!

    • Prone Bridge: 1:00 - 1:00 - 1:05 - 1:00
    • Push ups: 25 - 20 - 20 - 20
    • Chair Dips: 30-30-30-35

    I decided not to work out my legs today because every time I work out my legs my jogging suffers. And I am going to jog tomorrow in the early day so I don't want my jogging to suffer.

    Even though this exercise looks really easy (in a way it is) but in another way it is actually harder. All these exercises tire out my arm continuously right after the other, even including the prone bridge. They tax a lot on my arms, shoulders, and chest and they right after another.

    The prone bridges are brutal! They are my most despised exercise. But, they are a good exercise so I have to keep doing them.

    Everything else was just pretty normal today. This isn't a good day, but it isn't particularly a bad day either.

    I looked in the mirror today, and my body upper body looks way more defined, toned, and muscular!

    Busy day, had to study for exam and was busy with school work.

    • Jogged 30+ blocks to my friend's house
    • Played Basketball for 1 hour 30 min+
    • Walked home 35+ blocks

    I had to help my friend with his take home test. So I just jogged to his house. And I wanted to train my cardio, so I figured I can train cardio and do something I will enjoy at the same time.

    I know this is like nothing but I just put it down to let you guys know that I am not forgetting about my dream to be a great wrestler and do good in states finals.

    • Bench Press - 5x5 120 pounds
    • Squats - 5x5 135 pounds
    • Pull Ups (assists 16 pounds) - 5XF - 8,6,5,4,5
    • Shoulder shrugs 5x5 (50 pounds on each arm)
    • Left due to my friend dislocating his shoulder
    • 40 blocks walked (to gym and back)

    I raised the weight for the Bench press. It was a little tough, but I got through. I also raised the squats to 135, but I noticed that I am not able to complete them with good form so I will go down in weight once again.

    I did the pull ups as the the first exercise. I was surprised by how many I did (8) but that number quickly went down as my arms got more tired.

    The shoulder shrugs were also great, I might raise the weight to 55 on each arm.

    Left early, my friend dislocated his shoulder. =/

    All in all good day, I'm not going to do any endurance training today. I have my reasons, tomorrow is my first day of wrestling practice and don't want my muscles to be tired by then.

    Damn, what's up with your friend man? He seems to be holding you back on every workout by cutting it short. On almost all of your posts, it says you have to leave early because your friend did this or that.

    Well, I can't complain, I'm very grateful that he takes me as a guest all the time to the gym. He has a yearly membership where he can bring a guest in to the gym. But it's okay we are both like brothers and when he leaves I leave. Its not that he is slacking but sometimes he just has to leave. =/

    Hopefully it won't be happening too often. =P

    He is with me in the wrestling team that I somehow got him persuaded to go to. I've been trying to make him sign up to this forum and for him to make a workout log. Soon he will!

    Anyhow, here is today's log.

    November 13, 08

    • Wrestling practice (first day!)
    • Later on the day...
    • Push ups - 30-25-20-20
    • Wall sits - 1:10 - 1:15 - 1:00
    • Prone ridge - 1:10, 1:05, 1:05

    Wrestling practice was fine, although I did manage to pick up a somewhat minor injury today due to not stretching. Which I have already made a topic about, but anyhow here is a quote:

    "I think I over-stretched my left hip tendon and my right knee tendon today in practice. We didn't stretch before the practice today for some reason. I went through the rest of practice just fine. But I am a bit worried. Is this something to worry about? Should I skip leg workouts until it is healed?

    It doesn't hurt that much but there is discomfort and some minor pain."

    Aside from that, wrestling practice wasn't too hard today at all. There is two things that is apparent after practice that I need to work on and that is arm endurance and conditioning (mainly anaerobic endurance). That is a couple things I will try my best to focus on more often.

    The push ups were fine, managed to get 30 which was my normal push up rep a couple weeks ago . Overall not happy with my progress! My arm endurance is horrendous! I decided not to do chair dips because I didn't think they helped that much, but after some thinking, I've decided that I should do them in order to improve my much needed arm endurance. On another note, I noticed an improvement in my prone bridge.

    I tried to stay away from leg workouts today because I didn't want to further injure myself. But I did find that wall sits didn't really affect it at all, so I just went with that.

    Finally, I've really have to stop doing my workouts really late at night before I sleep. I find myself rushing to go to bed and which just ends up in a shorter workout. I also just end up sleeping late and waking up tired, so I have to stop that.

    • 2 mile run (fast pace) with 2 x 100 meter sprints followed by 20 push ups (continuously)
    • Push ups - 25-25-20
    • Jumping Squats - 30 - 30 - 30
    • Prone ridge - 1:00, 1:00, 0:45
    • Chair dips - 30 - 30

    I planned a conditioning workout with my friend from wrestling and we did a 2 mile run. Which I thought would be easy but it was actually harder because we did it at a fast pace. It was really good for aerobic and anaerobic endurance! Might do this more often.

    Push ups were fine, I didn't want to do it till failure so I did it till quality. The jumping squats were good too, but man are they tiring! The prone bridge was noticeably harder today and on the last set I couldn't finish it. I tried my best but I just felt like throwing up.

    Here is why. I ate an ice cream cone and a peanut butter sandwich about 5 minutes before the workout. All the jumping around with the jumping squats didn't do it any good either. I tried pushing myself but I felt too nauseous so I just called it a night and stopped from there.

    Lesson learned.
