    warm-up: more assorted bar stuff. mostly overhead presses and squats and their variations.

    another good, do whatever day. last real lifting session until for me until monday, which is when i'll be lifting at the high school where i'll be coaching. there's no where near the amount of equipment there as there is in the gym i go to. that's not sad for me, but for my team. all there is is one bar, 4-500 pounds in plates (4 45s, 4 35s, 5-6 25s, assorted 10s and 5s, not sure how many) and a pullup bar. sadly, this is still more equipment than we've had in the past. at least the team'll have each other's bodyweight to work with, and that is still plenty to work with.

    just going to do cardiac output work, form drills, and maybe some moderate core/grip work for the next 2-3 days. so excited to step on a mat!

    wasn't even planing on lifting at all. but i couldn't stay away from the weights. even hit a personal record on the clean and jerk. it seems that all my overhead pressing has been working. the most i've ever thrown overhead was 175 before. for today's workout, i'd even go as far as to say it felt easy. i almost never hit the same body part two lifting days in a row (it isnt smart in general) but i just felt really good today.

    some assorted power cleans, strict presses, front squats and split jerks @ 135 lbs. not too many.

    again, lifting was not in the itinerary. i was just really excited after yesterday's PR that maybe i had a little more in me on the c&j. indeed i did. after i got the 195 overhead, i thought maybe i could hit the 205. got it a little over half way up, but didn't get under the bar enough and couldn't lock it out. even then, i've never cleaned 205 before, so even that was PR, so i cant ask for anything more.

    this is the last day at the gym for me for the rest of the year. monday, i start coaching my high school. i'll still get to lift there (although the equipment is very limited - just a bar...but there's a ton of plates), but it'll be a nice change up in training to actually be wrestling again.

    just some upperbody bodyweight exercises at the park. dips, pullups. and this thing where you sit down at the base of a swing set (which is basically like a thick bar that shoots out of the ground at a steep angle) and pull your body to the top of it.

    weight loss, here i come.

    WRESTLING PRACTICE

    worked up to a few doubles/triples with double overhand deadlifts. highest set was with 275. used this to warmup for a 75 second deadlift test @ 21 reps/225 lbs. high rep deads are fun!
