    First Front Squat day on the Catalyst program. Legs are still a little jacked from this week so it took a few sets to get warm, but I eventually got into a pretty good groove.

    Nice to stay consistent across here. Last few reps on sets two and three got a little interesting but I locked them out.

    Did this back in November and it took me 8:30 back then, I have no idea what in the world I was doing that day because I was almost two minutes faster today and this was still slow. To the point where I was walking the Prowler the last ten meters during the last three or four rounds.

    Happy enough about how things went here. Really focused on leading up with my chest and maintaining my back angle through out the sets. Just a little slow under the bar on the attempts at 205.

    Happy with this. Contrary to my usual method I didn't really come in with a set number as a goal. Instead my goal was to do the barbell unbroken and I did up until the last round when I went 6/6.

    As expected toes to bar were the big slower here. Came in hoping to get the first three rounds unbroken but only wound up getting the first round.

    Good volume here. Triceps are still a little sore from the push presses in the Open WOD on Sunday but all in all these were pretty easy.

    Second one of the member workouts this month that I've had the opportunity to do, and this was another good one. Actually got it done faster than I expected to. I came in expecting to be in the 12-13:00 range.

    Other than the second and third runs everything was blown through pretty quickly. Cleans were 9/3/3, Squats were UB, and burpees were just as quick as I could.

    Couldn't really decided on a WOD to do that satisfied me so decided to just go ahead and knock these out rather than putting them off until Saturday. Did what I was looking to do on both movements here.

    Running up through the weights here pretty quickly as I was pressed for time. Form was off a little bit on the rep that I made at 265 and wound up letting it crash on me and had to squat it up from basically a dead stop at the bottom. 280 was just too heavy today.

    Another member submitted workout, much tougher than I expected it to be. Got through the first round in 50 seconds and thought this isn't so bad. Burpees definitely snuck up over the second half of the workout. Barbell was unbroken and quick. Doubles were kind of crappy. Only three or four rounds were unbroken.

    Was torn on what I wanted to do afterward today so wound up pulling this off the main site as it looked like something that was short and quick and it also gave me the opportunity to do some fatigued wall balls. Pull ups were the sticking point.

    Happy to get back to where making 195 is more or less casual again after struggling with that weight over the first few months of the year, but equally as frustrated about continuing to be a mental midget at any weight above 195. Just keep plugging along here.

    Sectional WOD 12.4

    90 Double Unders
    30 Muscle Ups

    Wall Balls + Double Unders + 6 Muscle Ups (246 total)

    Goal coming in was to get at least 251 so fell a little short of my goal, but I'm still happy with this effort. Finished the wall balls perfectly paced at 6:27 which was a PR on Karen by almost three minutes (although to be fair I'd only ever done Karen once).

    Double Unders were just harder than I anticipated. Started with a nice set of 20, but after that I finished out with sets of 7-12. Got to the rings with about 1:50 to go and was just focused on being steady and not missing.

    Should have warmed up a little bit more here (set of two or three at 275 probably would have worked well) as the first couple of sets here didn't feel good. As has been standard though since I started this program I got into a groove around set three or four and things started to come together.

    PR by 1:00 from when I did this about six weeks ago. Six weeks ago I was doing it to test it as part of a promotion we're doing this month where we allow members to submit WOD's to be added to our gym's programming. Today was the day that it was finally programmed.

    Managed to push a little harder on the runs today and shave some time off.

    Heavy day today. Took a shot at a PR after hitting 172.5 two weeks ago but this was just too heavy today.

    66 reps

    Rx'd height at the gym today was 24" but after walking around on shot calves for several days after 12.3 I decided I didn't want to feel like that again and decided to bump the height up here to slow myself down.

    This was good. Goal was 70 but I'm happy with this.
