Umm, I saw the video and the link you sent me had nothing to do with the top position.
Re: Top Position - Need help
Several moves. Here's what I do:
CRADLE
Get on top of the guy and really get heavy on him. Eventually he will slip up and put a knee up by his head. Quickly lock a cradle in and boom. I've beaten three people that way alone.
DUCK UNDER
This is good if you have long arms. Grab the guy's wrist and put your head into his armpit, keeping a tightwaist on with the other arm. Pull the wrist and push with your head and he should break down easy. Once that happens, push your head under/pull his arm over so he's got his arm behind your head. At the same time, do a long sitout with the near leg. Once that happens, you should be sitting on your inside hip, holding a tightwaist and his arm behind you. Just walk over and shoot a reverse half on him and SQUEEZE.
CORKSCREW
If the guy is tougher, get a crossface on him and grab his far tricep. Once you locked your hands on that tricep, use your other hand and snake it under him between him and the mat and lock up on his arm. Once that's locked in, walk to the front with it and pull him over. He will go; trust me.
TILT(S)
There are many ways to tilt someone, and if you tilt them hard enough or they're soft enough, it could pin them too. Back points are the biggest goal here though. Chop his near elbow and grab the wrist with your far arm. From here, there are three ways I know how to go.
A) Put your far ankle under both his legs, pull up on the wrist you're holding and kick him up and sit under him; this is a CHEAP TILT; rarely gets a pin, but easy for backs.
B) Put your near arm into his elbow-pit, hop sides so you're on the same side you're holding his wrist one, and just fall and pull him over top of you into the tilt position. Make sure you don't get pinned here!! Dunno what to call this.
C) Same setup as CHEAP TILT, but instead, drop your head into his side and look between his legs. Throw your near arm under him and grab his near knee. Do the same thing for a cheap tilt, but instead hold him real tight and don't get pinned again! This is more likely to result in a pin, so be diligent!! This is the SUBMARINE TILT.
If you need anything else, ask off.

Thanks, I know everything there except the reverse half. What is that?
And I need advice and tips on staying heavy and tight on my opponnent and keeping them down and breaking them down easier. I think I got all the basic breakdowns down but sometimes the guy has a good base and I get a lot of trouble to break them down. This is where I am weak at.
Re: Top Position - Need help
A reverse half is just you scooping the head from the nearside instead of going around his head and coming to your body.
If you wanna stay heavy on your guy, just put your chest in the large of his back and put your chin between his shoulder blades. Base up on him and try to make him carry as much of your weight as possible.
If you wanna stay tight, grabbing a wrist or elbow or anything is key, and just hold him on lockdown. You just gotta really muscle them. I've hear good things about a ball and chain, but I've never used it.
Breakdowns are no fun, but there are a few goodies to know.
Grab his far ankle and a tightwaist and jerk his ankle up. Put a knee into his butt if you need to.
Pull his near elbow to you and push him down, keep a lock on his arm.
Sit on his ankle. Wrap your near ankle around his near ankle. Keeps them from standing up, and they can't really do anything with it.

I looked at a instructional video of a reverse half and it was useful. I pinned a kid on Wednesday with the reverse half. :geek:
