    Default Connection issues

For the past several days (it seems like about a week) I've been having an exceedingly difficult time reaching this website. I sit waiting for the page to "open" and often after waiting literally several minutes I am met with a db error msg. I encounter some type of connection issue at about the rate of maybe 3 of 5 times. Most of the time I give up and try again later.

Yesterday, as you know, a problem occurred preventing us from opening threads, but something similar must be happening when trying to reach the site too. Other users must be experiencing this because its happening to me on three different pc's in three places in the U.S on three different internet ramps.

Ok, I just got into the site and it took 6 minutes 33 seconds. No error message though.

Is anyone else experiencing this, or is it really just me?

I got an error message and couldn't connect, but when I put www.thewrestlingtalk.com into my browser window, I connected.

Thanks Spider, but that's the address I'm using too. Since no one is joining in it may be only my experience, but it's happening on three different boxes in three locations on three ISPs. I'll check my addresses again just to be sure. Thanks for the suggestion.

When I saved it to my favorites, it registered as:

    http://www.thewrestlingtalk.com/index.php

which gave me the error message.

When I got rid of the "/index.php" and just enetered www.thewrestlingtalk.com, I got through.

System has been exceedingly buggy for the last couple weeks. Its being worked on by Schlottke, and he's shown me a way that should hopefully fix most of the minor connection problems that we seem to get.

Can you tell when it has been down? As far as i could tell it would be slow, down and then up all within a period of 20 or 30 mins so unless you do have a way of knowing without being online you prob. don't see all of it. Would you want to know about them or are they pretty much all the same?

You can always PM me or Shane when you get an error. I have not been seeing any slow times for the forum in the stats, which is making it tough to troubleshoot if there still is a problem.

What I will suggest everyone to do is to clear your browser's cache.

Update: I moved the site that was overloading the server to a different server, so that should ensure better connection reliability.

It was very slow about an hour and a half ago, then all of a sudden, no problem.
