I think this is the key point here. Can't really use that mall security guard analogy that was posted earlier... unless it's a mall security guard who's dressed in the uniform of a "real" police officer. If someone dressed as a police officer with a badge tries to intimidate me, and I don't know him personally, I feel threatened because (a) I assume he's a "real" police officer with the full authority of the law behind him and (b) I have no idea that he might be joking.

That said, my suggestion to vaisforlovers is the same as I've told you before -- you'll enjoy this board a lot more if you just try to ignore the people that annoy you.

Come on, the guy's tattling like a little girl, (a defenseless one at that) over something that happened on another site. I'm with Pimach and PJ, troll that guy right off the site if he's going to act like sensitive sally.

For a couple of years, we were able to keep that mindset out of this message board for the most part. Comments like that seem to belong over on that "other site" more than here.

I'd hate to see TWT degenerate into another cesspool.

I would love to know how I was "tattling" I brought something up that bothered me about a moderator. did i go crying to others saying you should punish him, etc? no. I was just ranting a bit about moderators on a power trip. If you took time to read my initial post you would realize that Adolf.

I am not sure what is wrong with you guys and how some of you aren't realizing where I'm coming from. Adolf, just because you have the pleasure of knowing the ins and outs of P Jerseys comic genius doesn't mean that we all have had the privelege.

You weren't 'tattling'. P-Jersey is a new moderator and can be expected to either make a mistake or joke around (whichever the case may be.)

I've seen him pass 'probation' status on people before he was even a mod, so I would *assume* it was mostly, if not entirely a joke... especially since he has no ability to actually ban someone- Only Shane does.

The fact that probation doesn't even exist here is another thing you should know.

Stardust makes a good point- when a moderator says something like that you have every right to take it seriously, however, going forward please know that only Shane has the final say as to whether or not you did something worthy of any type of punishment. If you don't receive a ban notice from Shane, take it as a joke.

Agreed! It's done and apologized for. And I apologize for helping to keep it alive. Let's move on and try to keep things here on a higher level.

I feel like you are mocking me here. This along with you calling me an idiot and calling my good friend suzie shagwell insane makes me feel threatened that I cant voice my opinion with out being bashed on here. I hope this doesnt continue thus turning this site into "the other site".

There seems to be a double standard here as vaisforlovers can roam freely and bash others when he chooses but he will look to get me public admonished if he receives comments that get him upset and scared.

We don't have any ''suzie shagwell" in our member base so I can only assume you had this argument at themat.com & it continued here.

Let's just let it go this time and if he (or anyone else) uses rude language outside of the MMA forum report the post to be handled.
