When you decide to create a poll, write the article you want to discuss and then scroll down to the Additional Options section.

You will see an option for Post a Poll.

Click the check box along side, Yes, post a poll with this thread.

Change the number of options you want in your poll, with a maximum of 10.

Click submit New Thread below Additional Options.

After doing this, you will be given the ability to enter in your poll options, including the Question.

Why does the discussion appear after the poll ?

Because the poll is going to be the main source of dialog.

How do you insert a quote from someone else's post?

There should be an Icon at the bottom of this text box that says submit reply or preview post. If you think you are in your final stages of the message hit submit otherwise hit preview post.
