Three wrestlers from Darton State College in Georgia were hospitalized after suffering heat-related illnesses during outdoor workouts, with one remaining in critical condition, according to various media reports Friday.

The incidents took place over a two-day period at the Albany, Ga. college. On Tuesday, freshman Alex Washington became ill during an afternoon five-mile run on a school practice field, and was transported to a local hospital where he was still undergoing treatment as of Friday evening.

The following day, two other Darton wrestlers – sophomore Ben Richards, and freshman Jaden Smith – were hospitalized. Richards remains in critical condition; Smith was released Friday.
