So neither Lashgari, Goudrazi, not the 96 kg greco Olympic champ (forget name) are going to worlds? Wow.

Apparently yes, Goudarzi and Ghasem Rezaei didn't show up with no reason. and rumors say Mehdi Taghavi, Reza Yazdani, Hamid Sourian, Omid Noroozi and Saeid Abdevali they all will NOT wrestle tomorrow, we will know it in few hours when they publish the weight in results.

Iranian wrestlers are notorious to escape from competing inside the country, because they know local competitions are unpredictable, they always try to find a way from the back door to the world team. today both Esmaeilpour and Ghasemi lost in 1st round and they were lucky because of double elimination format they got another chance.

for changing this bad habit, this year they said they are serious to make World Team trials important. so let's see if they have enough balls to send this team to Budapest or not.

yes he did and got injured badly against Goudarzi, technically he finished 3rd. Goudarzi beat Daliri easily before the withdrawal. Daliri isn't probably in top 5 in Iran but he won the tournament ! main favorite Tatari eliminated by two early defeats.

actually if Iran wrestling federation send this team, we can expect nothing from most of them ! the only freestyle wrestler who remained undefeated was Rahimi, all the rest lost at least once. even though they most probably will give Taghavi another chance but no chance for the rest.
