    Default Spider bites

Anybody got and good hints on how to treat spider bites (yeah, I know - pay your dental bills on time and this won't happen). I got bitten on the elbow by a black widow yesterday. I have swelling from the lower triceps down to the fingers, bad itching, and pain in the area around the bite and in the wrist. I've been taking benedryl, aspirin, and icing. Any other hints?

MR, you really should seek medical attention with a Black Widow bite, some people require a tetanus shot or anti-venum as treatment.
Did you happen to kill the spider? If so take it with you to the urgent care unit closest to you.

Hope all goes well for you.

How is it today? And did you at least call the Dr.'s office? Reading online it says there isn't much you can do at home for a Black Widow bite.
