Overall both team Russia and Iran are phenomenal Greco wrestlers and all there competitors are built like bricks but spare me the everyone is against us attitude.
The Iranian touched out of bounds with his hand, Russian touched with foot or knee. Sigh.

Abdvali won both periods and they blatantly cheated to give Guenot the match.

This is the second Iranian who has lost/disqualified due to cheating officials.

You're right there is no bias against Iranians.

No need to bring race into criticism of the officials though. Guenot lost to a non-white guy in the semis, on a very quick start on the bottom position (no penalty called). He put a non-white guy pretty flat on his back in the bronze medal match- no pin called. In the gold medal final, a non-white guy correctly got awarded points for a leg foul. Greco is a hard sport to officiate, and everyone gets tough calls go against them sometimes. The problem is magnified under the current format because the par terre is so terribly important. Athletes have a huge incentive to cheat to get the advantage (with false starts, leg fouling, finger grabbing). Someone is always going to feel they got screwed in these situations.
So the attempt to try and ban all the Iranian wrestlers was just an officiating error as well?

    lol, naivety at its best.

This just proves my point that fila needs to be more democratic from countries that actually care about and are successful in wrestling.

Blatantly cheated? Abdvali's lock was below Guenot's nuts, arms around his legs, and chest in his ass.

This is true. I thought the leg foul in the first period COULD have gone either way. I don't think he was cheated, but he definitely violated the rule with the turn against Guenot. Clearly below the waist.

If this were a regular World Championship, Russia would have won the team title. 5 medals for a total of 45 points (2 Gold -20; 1 Silver - 9, two bronze 16)
Iran had three golds for 30 points and another top 10 finisher, which gave them 34.

    This.

In addition to the other examples I mentioned... in Noroozi's semifinal, Japan throws him with a front headlock right at the buzzer- very close. No call.

I'm not saying that the referees don't make mistakes or that there's never any bias. I still think Totrov got two very favorable calls to make the finals. But I don't think there is a grand conspiracy against Iran.

Outside of the wrestling, it's been good. A little damp. but there's enough Strongbow around to soothe the savage beast.

First period no use of legs by iranian and guenot used the legs, no exposure yet guenot gets 2, nonsense. Second period guys were turning from there all day and they call it in one match, it looks low but it was for about a split second and no different to a lot of the guys through the day, also why did they stand them up on the restart?
