I kind of disagree, I still think scoring from par terre will be a game changer in London, but we'll see. The one guy from the US who could hit a gut in '08 won a gold medal. Agreed Burroughs is on a good roll, but Cerra Pelado is not a good bellwether of international competition:
    Gold – Jordan Burroughs (USA)
    Silver – Trent Paulson (USA)
    Bronze – Nick Marable (USA)
    Bronze – Tyler Caldwell (USA)
    5th – Ivan Llano (Argentina)
    5th – Luis Quintana (Cuba)

Too bad that JudoWrestler isn't on these boards anymore to explain to us how these opponents didn't prepare for Burroughs and how he's simply coasting on athleticism and a low level attack that can be easily combatted. For example, Goudarzi has lost 6/6 periods to JB but we all know he's far superior technically and the much better wrestler. 65-0 means nothing when your opponents aren't even preparing for you!! The non-Americans are just biding their time until they expose his technical deficiencies and throw his red white and blue arse all over the mat! Broken ankle? Excuses excuses!!!
