I would like to see Mark Schultz given the opportunity. I don't believe it will happen as he has his own baggage - bluntness being a major problem for many in administration.
His knowledge and experience are unquestioned. His ability to coach is there. But his PR skills are not seen as a positive by many who will look for someone who comes across much more smoothly.
Henson moved around too much. Maybe because, as was stated, he was looking for a head coaching job. The appearance of leaving so many job so quickly has to factor into the decision as it is not a history of commitment to building a solid program. It is like hiring an Urban Meyer in football. Success wherever he has been, but then he leaves. Does administration want short term success and long term job searching for another coach? That may not be accurate with Sammy but it is the perception due to his constant moving around.
