    Once read a book entitled ''Gods In Amnesia '' which dealt with this very subject .

    The quote is out of context. What he meant was that God is not needed to explain the origin of the universe. He wasn't saying definitively that God does not exist, but that one isn't necessarily needed to explain where everything came from.

    That's good enough for me. You can have faith that God did it, but my faith to the contrary is just as valid.
