I do get that the governement is going inot too much debt. I felt that way with Reagan and Bush II as well.
I think most of us were hoping he would be radically good rather than radically bad.

Clinton was President during the largest economic boom in the nations history. He couldn't have spent every tax dollar of revenue if he and Billary tried. Although I must admit Obama probably would have found a way to do it.

this stuff is so obvious once it is stated that you don't even need to provide a source.
Actually the source was cited Heir Rush to Conclusions

My post wasn't an attempt to praise Clinton, rather I was trying to point out that spending too much money is a persistent problem in US government.

I can't believe someone of your political persuasion had any hopes pinned to Obama.
You philosophically don't agree with him and therefore nothing he could do would meet with your approval.
It is disingenuous to pretend to be upset with him because he did not follow through with all his campaign promises. No politicians ever can follow through with every campaign promise and in addition, the he does what he campaigned to do, the more upset people who voted against become.

I stand corected. Maybe I am just to use to to seeing hyperlinks.
I googled your source (this thread actually came up in my google search) and this guy seems like a little bit of a nutjob. A lot of the sites I found were part of the "Birther" movement

    I also found Alinsky's Rules:
■“Wherever possible go outside the experience of the enemy. Here you want to cause confusion, fear and retreat.”
■“Make the enemy live up to his/her own book of rules. You can kill them with this. They can no more obey their own rules than the Christian church can live up to Christianity.”
■Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon. It is almost impossible to counterattack ridicule. Also, it infuriates the opposition, who then react to your advantage.”

■“The threat is generally more terrifying than the thing itself.”
■“In a fight almost anything goes. It almost reaches the point where you stop to apologize if a chance blow lands above the belt.”
■“Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it and polarize it.”
■“One of the criteria for picking the target is the target’s vulnerability … the other important point in the choosing of a target is that it must be a personification, not something general and abstract.”
■“The enemy properly goaded and guided in his reaction will be your major strength.”

It is amusing that this one site was bemoaning how unfair the Democrats are on their attacks, while it appears the campaign against Obama is following Alinsky's rules to a tee.

So Clinton gets no credit for overseeing the largest economic expansion in history because "Presidents can do very little to influence the economy"
while Obama gets skewered for being President during a historically deep recession.

I had very little optimism that Obama would be a successful Prez, I admit. I didn't expect him to bankrupt the country though. Of all things, it's unfortunate that he may succeed at that above all else.

Oops, sorry forgot Gore invented the internet.

Republican or democrat - whomever sat in the Oval 95-99 was blessed with and gets credit for the "e" boom, price reductions for computing systems and the business efficiencies evolving from them.

As for Obama - he's getting skewered for his spending policies at a time the residents can't afford them.
