Varner will kick the crap out of Gelogaev. Its a major or a pin. He'll blast double that kid all the way to the U.S.S.R. Gelogaev looked so exposed in that match with Lofthouse. Varner will get to his legs all day long.

Yeah I'm not so sure about that. Don't get me wrong, i love Varner, he's one of the many tough guys that the Golden State produces, year in and year out, but the Russian may have some tricks up his sleeve. I look for Varner to exploit the disparity in ability on the mat. The take down battle I expect to be close.
    Lets go Brent!

I think this is pretty accurate, but I'll add that the russian has noooo gas tank. He tanks in the 3rd period of most of his matches, and I have a feeling he will do that here.

I think that ISU matches up very well against the Pokes. The Clones may beat the Pokes worse than the Hawkeyes did.

125: #5 Andrew Long mdec #9 Chris Notte ISU 4-0
Long will beat Notte like a drum.

133: #12 Nick Fanthorpe dec #5 Jordan Oliver ISU 7-0
Oliver had trouble against an ailing Dennis. Fanthorpe will win.

141: #8 Jamal Parks dec. UR Dalton Jensen ISU 7-3
This could be close if Jensen is scrappy and Parks wrestles like he wrestled Marion.

149: #10 Mitch Mueller dec. UR Quentin Fuentes ISU 10-3

157: #13 Neil Erisman dec. UR Andrew Sorenson ISU 10-6

165: #3 Jon Reader dec. #9 Alex Meade ISU 13-6
Should be the match of the meet. Reader is great and Meade is on a tear.

174: #7 Mike Benefiel dec. #13 Duke Burk ISU 13-9
    Benefiel is tough.

184: #8 Jerome Ward dec. #13 Clayton Foster ISU 16-9
Ward is the real deal, and demonstrates against a solid, but injured Foster.

197: #1 Jake Varner mdec. #7 Alan Gelogaev ISU 20-9
Ouch! Might be a tech fall.

285: #1 Jared Rosholt dec. #4 David Zabriskie ISU 20-12
This could be close, depending on what Z can bring.

I don't see a tech happening. Varner doesn't tech many people, and Gelogaev should be a formidable opponent for at least the first period. Even after that, he shouldn't be helpless unless he's trapped on bottom for 4 minutes. I could see a pin, but a tech?

varner doesnt care about beating people bad or scoring big points for his team..he'l beat him by 5 or so but it wont have been that close. Gelogaev will never be close to a td.

Frankly, I think your score is more likely than mine.
