PA and NJ have them also.
The Ohio wrestling coaches association has developed an invitational setting for 8 teams in the each of the three divisions, but it is not done under the OHSAA's auspices. A more comprehensive and broader approach for an official dual championship is being discussed as we speak.
Would be great to see. Even greater would be to abandon the division splits for the individual championships (keep them for the duals championships) and go to one class as in Jersey and Indiana.
I recognize the problem for the very small schools with less then 9 wrestlers, that their best wrestlers would be left with going into an all-class competition making it 3 or more times more difficult for each individual to win a state championship.
