Molinaro, Sanderson and Erwin Claim Titles at Nittany Lion Open

Sanderson downs freshman Taylor in all-Penn State final at 157

Future Lions face college talent during tournament

"Dylan being up at 149 is struggling a little more with the strength of guys a little bit older than him," Neil Alton said. "He could make 141 if he wanted to, but Andrew is going 141."

    Three Lions claim titles

Erwin is now 10-1 at 184 pounds after starting the season with a loss at 174 against Lehigh and a loss to Justin Ortega at 174 in the Intrasquad Dual.
"Things weren't really clicking for me at '74," he said. "I was doubting myself. I didn't know if I just had something wrong with my head or what was going on. The bump up to '84, so far, is looking good for me. I'm just focused on wrestling, not really worrying about my weight at all and just going out, having fun and competing."

Penn State dominates with 3 champions, plus more strong performances across the board.

Bubba Jenkins sat out from the Nittany Lion Open today. The redshirt said he suffered from a bruised sternum, two bruised ribs and pulled cartilage under his ribs.

Ask Cael: question: Will you be holding wrestling camps for Summer 2010 in Heber/Midway, Utah? If so, what dates will they be held and how can I sign up my sons? Thank you!

David Taylor is a scary prospect. Everyone says "seems like a good kid" about lots of people, but this is a kid who seems even beyond that. I've seen lots of impressed and have always been impressed with his maturity. Very motivated, has the tools, and learns fast(lost only 8-7 to Cyler!) Looks like he'll be 65 or so next year. Look out wherever he winds up. I will have a hard time rooting against him. Methinks PSU will have some studs on the bench next year.
To avoid criticism say nothing, do nothing, be nothing.

Molinaro/Jenkins/Taylor will be quite the murderers row for PSU next year, be it 149/157/165 or 141/149/157

PSU v. iowa will be a great new rivalry the next few years.

    65 really?
He won his 4th state title in March @ 135. He was certified @ 141 but I think he is up @ 57 so he does not have to worry about his weight. I was hoping Bubba would NOT RS this year & have Molinaro back @ 41. BUT it looks like someone will be sitting next year.

There is no way Taylor goes to 65 if Kemerer is there & since he will be @ 57 all open season.

You are forgetting Kemerer @ 65, (and will not have a RS year to waste as Oklahoma did not release him from his LOI). Someone is going to sit or someone is going to have to SUCK it up & drop to 41. It is either Taylor or Molinaro @ 41, any 3 @ 49 or Bubba or Taylor @ 57. OR as I said, someone sits.

Also next year PSU will have Ruth 74 (?) Wright 84 Macchiarioli 97 Wade 285. However I wonder if Ruth can make that weight as he was wrestling his last year in HS @ 97 in FS.

Pataky will be back @ 25 also so if one of those 3 makes 41 the only week spot will be 33, (as Sherlock will probably RS).

And add one or two of the Altons into the lineup the following year (assuming they both RS next year) and it's even better.
