    top 5 ever?
Could be. May they do as well as the Gopher's #1 ranked class in 2008: Mario Mason, Jake Deitchler, Ryland Geiger, Atticus Disney, Matt Mincey, Cody Yohn.
"He beat nobodies..Thorn at 133 won't be great, R12 or worse imo...
    I just don't see it...David Thorn is not elite. I don't think he'll place"

It still amazes me that that class produced ONE 8th place finish. Biggest bust of all time?
    Gold is an idiot.

I thought Ortiz was in that class for some reason..

It is a great week to be a Penn State fan. Wrestling team official practices started this week, and that Michigan game was epic.

PSU puts Lehigh away 22-12. I started listening at Taylor's match and then watching in McIntosh's match. Anyone have a good feel for how things went?

As a side note, the video quality on the Patriot League broadcast was outstanding. A very pleasant surprise!

    Mega over Cruz 19-4
Gulibon lost to Mason Beckman 7-6
    Retherford wins over Gardner 10-4
Z Beitz Lost to Minotti 4-3
    Vollrath Lost to Napoli 4-3
Taylor 4 pt major over Brill 20-7
Brown tough win over Riddick 8-5
    Frascella lost to Dyckel 9-6
    McIntosh MD over Bullick 10-2
    Gingrich over Vollaro 5-2

Totally agree about the video quality, very impressive.

Nico completely outclassed Cruz. Tough intro to D1 wrestling for that young guy.

Despite the loss, I was impressed with Gulibon. I thought Beckman got away with a lot of stalling. Gulibons big mistake was giving up a borderline lazy takedown late in the third.

Zain looked really good. Gardner has been impressive thus far this year, and Zain really controlled that match. Was oh so close to getting the major.

Beitz was decent at 149, but definitely a little small (he was 141 at the Binghamton open last week). He will be a solid contributor down the road I believe. It really says something for PSU's depth that the fourth string guy can go out and compete that well.

Vollrath gave Napoli all he wanted. He was very close to at least two takedowns that would have given him the win. Napoli put a pretty tough ride on him in the third period to clinch the victory.
