I'll be watching the match on CBSSports - let's hope the live stream is good today.

125 Meg vs Young - Young is still undefeated but Meg is all action. Should be the match of the day. Young dec.
133 Reber vs ? - I think Johnston is hurt. Reber dec.
141 Pearsall vs Pennesi - Second best match of the night. Pennesi dec (WV 6 - Penn St 3)
149 Frank the Tank to dominate Roman Perryman. Major Frank
157 Dylan Alton all over Domino's Pizza. Major decision
165 Taylor by fall over Kyle Eason
174 Ruth tech fall Lynce Bryson
184 Matt Ryan dec over the Ice Cold Quentin Wright
197 MM's backk up by dec over Mac Mancuso
    Hwt Williamson dec over Wade

Final score Penn St 25 - WV 12 (this is the best case scenario for WV, lol)

Realistically WV wins one of the 4 matches that are contested (125, 141, 184, & Hwt)

Picking Q to lose to #17 and Ortega to beat anyone were interesting picks.
Q looked good. He tends to look good when people lock up with him or pause long enough (in any position) for Q to set up something fun for the audience. He already looks better than he did through Feb. 25th or so of last year.
    I was impressed with Reber
Pearsall needs to find some, ANY, offense on his feet to go with his mat wrestling.
Wade got going after a slow first. He did what he should (which isn't always a guarantee with him).

Reber's been hard to figure out this year. Just when you're ready to write him off, he makes a good showing. Does anyone know of Sherlock's injury status? Looks like Sherlock vs Pearsall will another tough call to make.

Does anyone know if DT was really sick Friday night? I saw it conjectured, but nothing official.

Megaludis had 2 straight good wins this weekend over multiple PIAA champs. Not bad!

D Alton is turning into quite the rider!

If my eyes were working right, I saw Sherlock after the match wearing one of the fixed boots. He was in street clothes, no surprise.
Byers was talking about Taylor having a bad day in his pregame discussion, so I assume something was up.

I should have mentioned Dylan previously - he kept going and put on a strong 7 minute performance. No gas tank issues today and looked Alton-like as he tried a couple times to turn a headlock into a throw. He turned the second one into a takedown (no throw, sorry fans). As for his ride, well, it was effective if not fruitful. Both guys got called for stalling with Alton on top (DA was riding parallel, I think it was a reasonable call, other guy wasn't doing much either.). DA also got tagged a point for pulling on a finger (probably a good call), though he thought he had all of them.

    And oh by the way,
WVU's 149 pounder Scheffel IS HUGE!!! HE made Frank look small, and I don't mean just short. He looks at least a full-sized 157 pounder. Almost hard to believe he made weight. Impressive for a frosh.

Solid win for the Lions. Everyone who should have won did, and the two losses were extremely close. 197 surely would have been a win had McIntosh wrestled. It will be very interesting to see how 133 and 141 play out over the next 4-5 weeks.

Hey guys it is our 100th page!
Must be some sort of record or achievement!

Nico looks like he is only gonna continue to improve
Good for Derek to finally get his 1st PSU dual win
Pearsall showing that he is capable of being a top 20 kid
Tank, DT & Ed all doing what they do
Dylan showing that he is the guy improving the most so far
Quentin = kill of be killed, who ya gonna get?
Ortega showing he has gotten better but still NO OFFENSE!
Wade almost Quentin like in you don't know who u r gonna get!

Next Sunday at Lock Haven & then the scuffle

Losing close to the 19th ranked guy who wrestles for WVU hardly makes you in the top 20 discussion. PSU has an Andrew Alton shaped hole at 141 and I think it will be a dogfight for them to qualify the spot.

Reber is not the answer at 133 and Martelloti won't be the savior for PSU next semester as evinced by his PSU open showing.

Those weights will be tough to qualify for PSU.

It will be very interesting going forward because they're so strong at other weights.
To avoid criticism say nothing, do nothing, be nothing.
