    Re: BEST at 157?

As far as I know Poeta has given up one takedown this year.... Jason Welch got a takedown in the 3rd period at Midlands.

Poeta has a winning record against all of the guys in the top 10, except...

    Re: BEST at 157?

Based on this years results, there is no doubt that Poeta is the favorite. Of course alot can happen over the next couple of months, but Poeta is wrestling lights out. Poeta, GG, Kocher, Henning,...
  6. Re: 2007 Midlands Wrestling Tournament Results/Discussion

I didn't expect Precin to pull off that upset either. That is a big win for Precin.:D I was surprised that Escobedo majored Flores too. They wrestled 2x last year and they split, with both matches...

    Re: Fantasy Midlands/Scuffle

Bond made the trip. I saw him sitting with the rest of the Illinois guys, but I don't know why he isn't wrestling.
  10. Re: 2007 Midlands Wrestling Tournament Results/Discussion

Last year at Midlands, Simmons beat Hernandez in the semi's and then beat Kennedy in the finals.

Re: Rank Ryan Lang at 149

Gregg, you are right. Lang will be at 149 through Midlands and then decide which weight to go from there. He does make the dual team stronger with him being at 149. I personally think he would be a...

    Re: UNIllinois Defeats Northwestern 22-19

I agree with you. They landed Benefiel, Welch, and Roddy as blue-chippers the last couple of years. Add in some good quality guys like Battaglia, Kuhar, Kellogg etc. and things are heading in the...

    Re: UNIllinois Defeats Northwestern 22-19

I don't know if I agree that Northwestern will be weak at the upper weights over the next couple of years. They won't be as tough as having Herbert, Tamillow, and Fox... but Benefiel, Herbert, Schoen...

Northwestern wasn't using the dual to get back-ups experience. They had some injuries and stuff. Their guys will all be in the line-up next week.
