    Re: Dake vs Taylor II

Maybe in the U.S. but not on the world level. Look at 96kg (211), way more stacked than any other weight.

    Re: Dake vs Taylor II

Exactly, weights are not static, wrestlers move up and down and they are usually fairly different every year.

    Re: Asgarov vs Kudukhov

I think Gadisov or Yazdani will. If the former wins the weight then he is easily in discussion for being the best p4p, considering his draw at nationals and here (taking on nearly the entire lot of...

    We'll see who wins 96..
  5. Re: 2012 London Olympics: 66/96 Freestyle Discussion

Oooh Gadisov has it tough. Of course, he got through Muradov, Saidov, and Gatsalov at nationals which is basically just as tough. Varner better get to the finals with that draw!

Re: Jordan Burroughs! Best in the World!

Congrats JB!! Awesome way to walk the talk. Now I'm looking forward to watching the rest of the US wrestlers and Gadisov.

So...how does Burroughs do against a prime B. Saitiev with these...

Poll: Re: 74 kg freestyle- Olympic predictions

I'm thinking Tsargush. His match last year against Burroughs was as close as it can get. JB has certainly improved and I'm definitely rooting for him, but I'm going on a hunch that Tsargush takes...
  9. Re: who's your pick? Gadisov, Yazdani or Gazyumov?

Gadisov as well. He defeated Yazdani earlier and got in his legs pretty easily from what I remember (Yazdani may have been slightly injured).

His defense is superb, I don't recall seeing him...

    Re: 2012 Russian FS Nationals

Glad to see Gadisov and Urishev going. I've been following them ever since I got into international wrestling and every year they've come short at nationals.

    To lighten the mood...

Two bacteria walk into a bar. The bartender says "we don't allow any kind of bacteria in here." The bacteria reply, "but we're staph."
  13. Re: Burroughs will be our only Freestyle Olympic Gold

I agreed with what you said, but weight cutting is just another part of the strategy. If a wrestler feels that maximizing their size and strength for a weight is beneficial, then they should pursue...

I was able to access the brackets by using a little intellect by changing the url slightly: http://www.wrestrus.ru/media/turnirs/blocks/2012/2012-yarygin/draw-03.xls

Re: Why no Oliver @ the trials?

^ Yeah. Where has Perry been? To my knowledge he hasn't been at any freestyle tournaments either. Wright did a pretty solid job at seniors and Perry has beaten him twice and got a bronze at Junior...

    Re: 2011 University Nationals Results/Discussion

What happened to Chris Perry? He wasn't at seniors and isn't listed for this either.
