Default The Freedom Files Continue to Grow!

I have been compiling links and stories that I have entitled, "The Freedom Files," highlighting how republicans have been stripping and disregarding freedom in our society since Bush was given the "presidency" and republicans had their brief day in the sun with control of Congress. Well, we have us a new one today!

Everyone's favorite rage filled commentator, Laura Ingraham, today has put up a link to MSNBC's website, as well as phone numbers of who should be called, to call for the firing of Keith Olbermann for his special comment last night. If it wasn't already enough that weirdos like David Horowitz pay students money to tape record what professors say and try to get them fired, Ingraham has upped the ante by calling for Olbermann's firing for, well, free speech and a free press! HUH!?

Two comments Ingraham made today. "The management over there needs to have a talk with him." "This is free speech at its best."

Here is the link to the nasty, un-American commentary that Olbermann made. Should we see to it that this commie is tried and courts and deported for treason? The comment is on the front page, "Bush Interview Unforgiveable." MSNBC - Countdown with Keith Olbermann - A Unique Newscast that Counts Down the Day’s Top Stories - Get the Latest Transcripts, TV Schedule & Video Highlights - MSNBC.com Front Page

Even my conservative dad last night called me and said it was great, if not a little over the top. He still agreed with it.

The right wing neocons just can't take it when Bush is called out for the incompetent dangerous president that he is/was.

I say way to go Keith. Angry liberals really cause the right wingers to go nuts.

The worst of it is that Olbermann's fundamental point, which is usually his fundamental point with these special comments, is how Bush has done nothing to divide our country and pit us all against one another.

To continue to say that voting in democrats will lead to terrorist attacks is irresponsible as the leader of our country.

Mr. O has the right to express himself. Whatever. I must, however, assume that you felt Obama was entirely out of line for his attempt at restricting the freedom of Don Imus to make racial comments, right? You are keeping a list on the liberal side of the coin, are you not? And while you're at please include all the liberal "shout down's" of conservative speakers in the public forum. Oh, that's right, they don't count because they think like YOU do.

Don't you find it disconcerting that the democrats are saying the same things that bin Laden and crew are saying, like get out of Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Middle East? Maybe its just me, but I don't feel very comfortable when those who wants to be our leaders say the same things those who tried to kill us are saying.

You can add in threats to regulate political speech on the radio. And not just "shout downs" but speech codes and other politically correct motivated rules on behavior.

I should also mention their resistance to fully compensate landowners after telling them how they can and cant utilize their own land.

And their love for regulation of political speech during campaigns.

First off, what did Obama have to do with Imus' situation?!

Secondly, why don't you refresh our memory about what happened to Imus. I'll provide a couple of hints: (1) advertisers (2) his employers.

Liberals had nothing to do with it.

Could you provide some examples how how they are saying the "same thing?" If this issue is "get out of Iraq," sorry to say, but the whole world is saying that. So, by "logical" extension, the whole world sides with terrorism.

Furthermore, have they been coached by these people to say these things, or is this another McCarthy guilt by association trick to further make us turn against one another?

How so? I'm a member of the ACLU and if we hear of this we'll take up the case. How are they doing this?

Who is "they?" The government, who hasn't been fully compensating people for land since long before Gingrich brought in the current wave of political division and partisanship? Is "they" GW Bush, who wanted to increase imminent domain during the early days of his "presidency?" Who is "they?"

And their love for regulation of political speech during campaigns.
How have liberals done this? Didn't your presidential candidate also play a role in this? How does this jibe with "originalism?" Did the founders see money as speech?

Its the so-called Fairness Doctrine that regulates and tells broadcasters how and who they can put on their shows and the ACLU thinks its a wonderfull idea.

It is environmentalists who fought tooth and nail against requiring the government to compensate landowners after some EcoNut bureaucrat deemed his property wetlands or in any other way limited the full maximization of its economic potential.

It ISNT just the money ban (and yes... if you limit how much can be given to a group who lobbies on your behalf you have limited their speech) its an outright BAN on ads in the months and weeks prior to elections.
