Default Saddam Hussein was right for Iraq

I know Blair and Bush and all the other chicken hawks will tell you Hussein needed to go. The truth is they screwed up and Saddam was good for Iraq. Whatever murders happened under his rule were just a consequence of Englands brutal colonialism and the state in which they created Iraq. Kurds, Sunnis and Shiites were forced by the British to live in one country despite objections.

Without sanctions on Iraq it would be even more prosperous today. It was a good Middle Eastern country. Further, Hussein’s overthrow by American chicken hawks was a criminal act and Iraqis are well justified to defend themselves against Western aggression.

Big, that statement maybe one of the most ignorant you've ever made and there have been plenty of boners. The area currently known as Iraq is one of the most frequently conquered territories on earth.

May I suggest you read up on the Anfal campaign under Hussein that began in 1986 and lasted until 1989 and your dear friend "Chemical Ali" -who just happens to be awaiting the hangman's noose.

May I suggest you read up some objective books on how Iraq was created and how British killed thousands of Iraqis with bombs, including chemical weapons? I know American politics likes to dumb down its audience by never reminding it of the "distant" past.

For three out of four centuries of Ottoman rule, Baghdad was the seat of administration for the vilayets of Baghdad, Mosul, and Basra. During the mandate, British colonial administrators ruled the country, and through the use of British armed forces, suppressed Arab and Kurdish rebellions against the occupation. They established the Hashemite king, Faisal, who had been forced out of Syria by the French, as their client ruler. Likewise, British authorities selected Sunni Arab elites from the region for appointments to government and ministry offices..[specify][2]

Britain set up a colonial regime in Iraq after a long military campaign during World War I. In response to Iraqi resistance, including a country-wide uprising in 1920, British forces battled for over a decade to pacify the country, using airplanes, armored cars, firebombs and mustard gas. Air attacks were used to shock and awe, to teach obedience and to force the collection of taxes. Winston Churchill, as responsible cabinet minister in the early years, saw Iraq as an experiment in high-technology colonial control. Though officials in London sometimes had qualms about the violence, colonial administrators on the ground like Gertrude Bell expressed enthusiasm for the power of the imperial military enterprise.

How selectively you fail to mention the Ottomans were siding with Hitler and the axis.

PS, mustard gas was a commonly used weapon in WWI. It wasn't until later that is was banned as a weapon of war.

Like I said Israel and Iraq are the consequences of the British dumb mistakes. British could never get anything right in this World and now America is imitating the British.
