I don't know the whole story behind this movement to have a team chaplain, but the full context must be considered. I assume coach Chizik is a self-described Christian, not a Muslim, or Jew, or any other faith (there are many), or those who do not ascribe to any particular faith (and there are many). Correct me if I'm wrong. So that sends a message to team members that could be interpreted as one of exclusion based on religion (as Spider illlustrated).

Words have meaning. Your comment was just another in a line of anti-intellectual statements about college students being "forced" "indoctrinated" or "injected" with a certain point of view. If that was not your experience, I ask you to remember something you learned in college and leave the rhetoric to advertisers.

Clone you might interpret it that way. But we have not heard a word from any of the players on the team so I doubt they feel excluded from the club. Plus like I said and I know I dont have the numbers in front of me the majority of football players are probably Christian and then I will refer you to a previous post and my shoe analogy.

Quick comment: no one was ever put in a concentraton camp because of their shoe size.
Atrophy: what you get when you win atournament.

I asked you earlier to recount your experience which you have not done. Instead, you resort to giving us more of the same nonsense by some writer in Alabama.

I'm reminded of the children's book where the little bird says "Are you My Mother?" I can see the idiots running around campus, asking students and professors, "Are you conservative or liberal?", presumably followed by like questions such as: "Do you drink Pepsi or Coke?" and "Do you like Country or Western?" Then they can report to the regents that state universities (gasp!) consist of 68% liberals, and 32% conservative (100%), and since we know there are two, and only two, types of people in this world, and the general population is about 50/50 (conservative or liberal), then they'll have to do something about it.

Spider good point but I did say that all should be given some type of council.

I am sorry clone my personal experience is not like these but it does not change the fact that it does happen and many people are concerned about like I dont know Congressmen from Ohio. So if I dont have a personal experience with an issue I should not share my opinion about it with what info I had. I will remember that next time you are arguing a point and make sure you can give me first hand personal experience and not second hand my family this or I know a guy that. I will keep that in mind.

You have to consider the possibility, as something that might reasonably occur based on human nature, not wait for someone to admit to it (this reminds me of race or gender issues--if you're "in" you can just poo-poo those who are "out" and say they didn't say so, or dismiss their claims if they do).

Plus like I said and I know I dont have the numbers in front of me the majority of football players are probably Christian and then I will refer you to a previous post and my shoe analogy.

Your shoe analogy suggests not so much a choice of consumer products but rather a sign on the store that says "No Indians allowed" (or something similar). As a football player, you need a certain kind of shoe and you can only buy it in certain stores, of which there are few in your community.
