And European countries don't value their security?

They obviously dont as much as we value their security, if they did they would put the funds toward the military.

You need a large military only if you have a lot of enemies.
No objectively compassionate person ever has a lot of enemies.

Re: Global military spending 1.2 trillion in 2006
We have many enemies due to our belief in freedom and anybody who is top has a lot of enemies. I guess if you dont want to be the best and can live your own life then you wont have enemies

Re: Global military spending 1.2 trillion in 2006
The best in what? Many other countries are much better in sports, arts, religion, and many other things.
Freedom in one country is fine but when that freedom is FORCED on other countries, that is no longer freedom. Its imperialism.
America is a country that has everything but the best in very little.

Big when I say the best I mean the greatest super power on the face of the planet. But if you want to go into sports I would simply say look at the olympics, I dont how a country can be better at religion and the arts are debatable are we talking music what.
