Default war is racket

Have any of you read Major General GSButler's book on war -this was one of the most decorated soldiers in history and he came to the conclusion that WAR is a racket and he was sick of it so he wrote a book and went on a lecture tour -you can read it online -this true HERO was sick of 'being a collection agent' for international bankers ---

Any of this sound familiar ?

Yes, he is famously known on the left for making a statement in the 30s, basically, that he had served as a tool for U.S. corporate interests. I don't know about the bankers part (sounds smellingly like the old Rothschilds conspiracy). I haven't read the book so can't say more about it but we are talking about THE Smedley Butler, one of the most famous generals in Marine Corps history (our base in Okinawa is named after him).

Name one war...just ONE that someone didnt profit in.

You profit haters fail to acknowledge one thing. Profits make for larger supplies to win those wars. If there is no profits supplies will dwindle and wars get lost.

Its just like those suppliing lumber after a hurricane. If you dont allow high profits there is no incentive to ship that wood to areas that run out.

Contrary to some's short sighted economic theories profits are good, not bad.

Why was it that Yamamoto feared attacking the US in 1941? Its because he feared American industrial might which is fueled by those profits that some see as bad.

Yes , we are talking about THE Smedley Butler -google his name and you can read excerpts from his works -he names names , figures and his predictions are so accurate to be uncanny-more importantly He outlines a way to slow down the pace of self-destruction we are on -limit the army to self defense only -no aggressive forces -give the Soldiers a say in whether to fight te war -[whether it is a just and necessary action] as opposed to every war the US has been inolved in,and most importantly-pay the soldiers the same amount the corparate brokers are making .

The man was a genius ''there are 40,000,000 soldiers at arms . HELLS BELLS !!!What do you think ? that they are training as dancers ?'' This was in 1935.

I thought wars are won or lost based on which country's people stand up and fight better to protect their homes, not for profit.

I think in the end those that fight for profit fail or achieve a Pyrrhic victory. Hence, Hitler lost, as did US in Vietnam, as did USSR in Afghanistan, as did Hussein during the Gulf war. That is because the will to fight for profit is always weaker than the will to protect your home and people.
