It's true -- it could be over in November. There could also be a swing in the House races making for a huge left majority. You may have your way for the next several years.
Remember, the world economy is in turmoil right now. Sector inflation is rampant in every single country, there are food riots, gas protests in Euroland, and Asian economies are slowing down. That's what happens when the world spot price for oil goes from $70 to $145 in 11-months. Food prices have increased by 10% or more everywhere on earth. Certain key foods have more doubled and even tripled in certain parts of the world. Eggs have doubled....certain types of bread have doubled, some cheeses have doubled, corn has tripled, beans have tripled, wheat is through the roof, and rice is being rationed in certain areas.
I know a lot of people would like to blame George Bush for all of this, but this is a world-wide problem. The G-8 just met talking about all of this and every country is worried. We are but one player in the world market, so no reasonable thinking person is going to fall for the idea that GW caused this world wide economic problem. Nice try though...commendable from a lefty viewpoint.
