Yes, I am now paying $25 less per month at New York Sports Club because LA Fitness opened across the street and NYSC had to lower rates to keep their members.

The sun is shining. My expanded gardens are looking the best that they have in years. My moms cancer is in full remission. My wife continues to melt my heart (I am the worlds luckiest man. I truely do not deserve her.)
I am finding that with gas prices up that community events that struggled for years are now well attended. Local businesses are seeing an increase in business (sorry big box stores, your days of runaway growth are over). Volunteerism is up big time in my neck of the woods. It seems that as money is getting tighter that people are looking out for those in the community that are having a rough go at it. Life is good Bonnie!

If the stock market is bad news (which there is no longer any link of WS and the strength of the economy) it sure sucks for the rest of the world. With America being the biggest consumer of practically everyones exports, if the US sneezes, the rest of the world catches cold.

We are finally getting over cold/flu bug and starting to work out again. My college work is coming in to grade and that is a good thing because I was getting bored. My kid seems to be losing the "attitude" she's had and becoming nice again. It's really hot but we are getting around so much the summer heat doesn't seem to be nearly the grind it normally is. My dog has pretty much shed the majority of his winter coat so I don't have to vacuum every 6 hours.

As competative as the online community business is that IS really remarkable. Keep it up. One good thing you do is to continually remind people to come back when they are gone for awhile. You gotta ask for the order.
