Default Guantanamo ruling

The Supreme Ct weighs in. Note, what's at issue is not anyone's guilt or innocence, but the prisoners right to have their day in court v. imprisonment without charges.

As one person in the article said.....nothing will happen with the prisoners until the next administration takes office. The Bush White House has shown an incredible ability to delay, deny and in general blow off the U.S. Supreme Court and pretty much any ruling that doesn't give them what they want.

Another chapter in the Bush Legacy book...

These guys are terrorists waiting for a death sentence that most can't wait to receive for blowing up our country... It isn't run even close to perfect, but I'd rather have them locked up and ignored than running around loose and ignored... (now that I've got most of you riled up )

I just don't have much sympathy for those Guantanamo, but I do a ton for the families in Iraq that have actually done *nothing* and are hurting each day by the war there.

We're not saying they should be let go, but shouldn't they have a right to a trial? Present the evidence and do what needs to be done, but don't lock up people for years without a trial.

Exactly! Charge them, have a trial and, if they're found guilty, sentence them.

We're doing the exact same thing we've chastized other nations for doing. We're supposed to be the shining example of justice and equal rights under the law. What's the White House afraid of? Is it that they have no case? I don't know, but I'd think that 6 years is long enough to build one if one does exist.

I say don't kill them but keep them in solitaire for life.I do think they deserve a trial still.

Solitaire for life? Why not Spades or Poker for life?

-Sorry, Ugly. I just can't help myself sometimes.
