I learned great American freedoms as soon as I got here
The doors in public high schools in NYC get shut with a guard next to them and stay shut until 2pm every school day preventing you to go outside. The guards have handcuffs.
Sports were only a few months per year and then you have to do another sport.
If you are an immigrant you are an outsider and Italians have the privilege to jump you, always at least 3 on one.
Every day you had to stand up at a certain time and together with a class repeat a Pledge of Allegiance: "I pledge my Allegiance for One Nation, under God for which it stands, blah blah blah........
This is just a few things. I could go on and on.
You have the freedom to work and make money in America but not much of anything else.

The freedom to criticize is a very valuable one, which not all countries permit.

How about the guy in Poland who woke up from a coma after 19 years? Last he remembered, Poland was a communist country with only mustard and vinegar on the store shelves.

You are right Big as an immigrant you are an outsider and kids will pick on you if you are different, but that goes for everybody. Do they not have pledges in other countries? What would satisfy you, if America went communist would it satisfy you?
