Yet the tabloid crap is what people buy into.

McCain is showing signs of age. There is nothing wrong with covering that as he is applying for the top job in the free world.

The "media" sure couldn't get enough of Wright. I guarantee they showed that hundreds of more times than they did McCains huge gaffe in Iraq. To confuse Sunni and Shia is not something you want to do in a job interview for the White House.

How is McCain showing the signs of his age?

When he stated Beer in his speach it was a mistake. When Obama stated breathalizer instead of inhaler(which is what we think he was trying to say) that was a mistake to. Or was it that his age was starting to show.

They were both slips of the tongue.

Thericks post earlier pretty much sums up the media pretty good. They are focusing on bullshit instead of focusing on the issues. And yes that goes for both Obama and McCain.

All those who have complaints about the media, keep in mind that the President make appointments to the FCC and that there are and have been big issues regarding media consolidation (the industry wants it; the public is overwhelmingly opposed; the current chairman Kevin Martin, and his predecessor Michael Powell sided with industry).

It would suck to be a political figure in the technology age. Every ill-chosen word, bad joke, slip of the tongue or whatever is instantly recorded and replayed for the amusement of that person's opponents for all eternity.
