Well, as I always say: you can cheat on your taxes this way, or you can have wealth and power and get the laws changed so that you can legally do it. The latter is what is known as, "tax shelters," "tax write-off's," and "foreign banks."

Anyway you chop it, you're finding a way to not pay your taxes.

I hope you aren't suggesting that Keith didn't have adequate wealth and power to use the optional avoidance mechanisms.

Seems to me like it's a misunderstanding that some lousy journalists will use to take pot-shots at him.

And, by the way, the amount of unpaid taxes in question is just over $2,000. Seems to me if he was going to spend his time trying to deliberatley avoid paying taxes he save try to save himself a little more than that.

I expect the complete story will come out sooner or later. In the meantime I wouldn't be too quick to either defend or pass judgment on the man.
