Like I said earlier, I more or less stopped taking that site seriously after reading this, the first sentence on the page.
With your vigorous defense of the site, I guess that means I can stop taking your seriously too.
Let me say again, that site claims that the Virginia Tech shooter was a reincarnation of Muhammad. It makes this claim, and then spends a substantial portion of time trying to justify it.
They're absolute whackos. | Jensen - one question. Moses wrote the Pentateuch from which many of the "twisted Bible stories" came from. History places him about the 13th to the 15th century BC. Muhammed died in 632 AD. Does it not seem likely that his versions of similar stories were in fact taken from Moses' writings and altered somewhat?

But when you couple that with the fact that the Muslims worship the same God as the Christians, and acknowledge Abraham, Moses, and Jesus as prophets I think the rationale for that fact can be seen.
The characterization of Islam as "Paganism" in that sentence is comical.
Straight out of the Chanson's de Geste, or any of the numerous "Why Christianity is better than Islam" chronicles of the 8-13th centuries.

I do not believe the Muslim god and the Christian/Jewish God are the same but that explains to me where you are coming from. FWIW I studied Islam before you were born, I am far from historically ignorant and hardly biased. I call it as I see it and have no problem agreeing to disagree but IMO your comments here were way out of line.

The fact that Islam recognizes Abraham (He's considered the founder of their religion), Noah, Moses, and Jesus as prophets is one of my primary reasons.
Just an FYI too, I'm looking at this from a purely scholastic approach as I'm not a religious person.
If you'll notice, I didn't attack you with my first post I attacked your ridiculous source for your post. I fully concur with you and Dave that those killing over these cartoons are absolute animals (is this strong enough verbiage to satisfy you now?)
I guess I can dig up my copies of the Bible and the Koran to try and go more in depth, but I can't say that I really want to if the time is going to be wasted. | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
