That's funny, because MSavage was the *FIRST* guy that came to Kobe Bryant's defense; a super rich black athlete after he was charged with the rape of a white woman. Go ahead -- look it up. He was the first guy (right-wing at that) that came to Kobe's defense and called this case the way it was. I have no memory whatsoever of Al (fat head) Franken (on his 215 watt blow torch) coming to Kobe's defense. Savage spoke passionately, loudly, often, and aggressively about the injustice of the charges against Kobe.
And you remember the outcome, right? This case went on for a long time, and Savage came to Kobe's defense for many months in a row. So, I've already provided you one example off the top of my head, and so -- you're wrong. How does it feel to be wrong, B-Ban?
The problem with you left-wingers is that you see evil where it doesn't exist, and no evil where it does exist.

Aside from this painful example that I've provided isn't it the slightest bit peculiar that in all of the years that I've listened to right wing hate radio that I have NOT ONE TIME, I repeat, HAVE NOT ONE TIME seen a racial issue where they have sided with the minority side. Not once. How could that be if they are "fair" and "not racially charged?" In all of the cases of obvious, documented racial injustice over the years, NOT ONCE have any of these people ever sided with it. Rather, they defend the actions against the minorites, call it "race baiting," or simply deny it as problematic and turn the tables on the victims of the injustice.
Here's what also curious: when people are caught redhanded of being racists or saying racist things, Hannity, in particular, lauds that person as the new great spokesperson for his programs and Fox News. Examples? Mark Fuhrman, William Bennett, Trent Lott, and his latest love, Geraldine Ferraro. These are only off the top of my head, but I'm certain that tere are others.
Again, VERY curious for someone who supposedly cares about equality and racial justice. |

Ban,
I don't like to flaunt my skin color around because I think it is irrelevant in much of life -- it is usually only relevant when I see the dermatologis. But, I will tell you that I am a black American. I know of no other black American who has benefitted from liberal white folks who think they are standing up for us. In fact, many blacks think that you white folks are hindering us and think we are inferior and can't stand up for ourselves.
What I, and many others, see is that liberals pander to blacks. Liberals think that by telling blacks they are oppressed, the blacks will agree and think they are oppressed (even when they're not), then the liberals can swoop in and save the day by taking from the whites and giving to the blacks. But, liberals don't understand that we see through all of this. We DO NOT want to be treated ANY different, better OR worse, than anyone else. If you don't think you should advocate white rights, you shouldn't advocate black rights, either. THAT is what the "black community," if there was such a thing, wants.
And, frankly, many blacks are tired of the left always screaming racism. Take it from a black man living in the South -- there is hardly ANY racism today to speak of between white and black. To say that there is racism today denigrates the struggles that happened many years ago. Back in the 1800s -- now THAT was racism, not the piddly little stuff we see today.
Blacks don't like the liberal agenda because it treats us as second-class citizens who can not stand up for themselves. Blacks DO like the conservative structure, because affords the maximum amount of freedom to each person, treats each person equally, and recognizes that blacks don't need "help" from whites any more than whites "need" help from blacks.
THIS is the opinion of Americans who have black skin. Those who scream racism are worse racists than the ones they're indicting.

What got me the most from watching the film clip of Rev Fleger was the reaction of the audience in attendance. Was there a look of disbelief at what the guy was saying...NO, they were up in the aisle dancing and encouraging more. Is that really the feelings of the black community towards "whitey"?

Those who scream racism are worse racists than the ones they're indicting. | Well, I can safely say that you are the first black person whom I've ever met that says that racism and discrimination has been practically wiped off of the U.S. map. It's funny how all of these cases are still coming up then, even without us dangerous liberals telling someone who was denied a job because of her name or how she talked that she is oppressed. http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpag...51C1A9649C8B63 Even Thomas Sowell and Clarence Thomas acknowledge that it is still alive.
Sorry if I'm skeptical.

I've been in many other nations and have friends around the world and I know of nowhere that racism does not exist at some level and, yes, it is still here in the U.S. and there are issues that do need to be addressed but the Michael Pfleger's of the world not only do nothing to resolve the remaining problems, they actually make everything worse by fueling the emotions of the few as he did in the sermon? of note.
ban - perhaps it's time for you to enlarge your social circle beyond those who only think like you do. I can assure you there are many of color who do not share your assumptions.
