Obama -- a freshman senator with no experience who has been practically campaigning for 2-years
Clinton -- a polarizing figure with more baggage than Rosie O'Donnell on a United Flight to Dubai?
McCain -- an agonizing centrist that suffers from the Stockholm Syndrome and doesn't understand the difference between an environmentalists and a conservationists?
I've already done the math -- I get hosed no matter who gets in. None of them inspire me any way, shape, or form. Is it un-American to say 'screw it'; I'm not voting because I couldn't care less about these candidates? |
I like to counter your argument to and say there are three outstanding, not perfect, people in the race. If you focus on the positive
Obama - was editor of the Harvard Law Review and then took a job as a community organizer. He is a great speaker and has inspire a generation to get invovled in politics. He has been able to reach across traditional political lines and draw support.
McCain - His personal biography is so amazing that it needs no further explaination. He also has been a Senator that has worked in a truly bipartison nature. He has also stuck with his principles, mainly supporting the war, even when it looked like it was going to doom his candidacy.
Clinton - She has a high negative reaction from many people and I don't like how she is dragging out the campaign, but she still inspires many. She is the only undergrad to give the commencement speech at Wellsley and was rated as one of the top lawyers in the country.
There are a lot of positive things about all the candidates.
I prefer any of them over the current occupant.
