10 years later, in 2008 in Armenia (and not only there), there is still socialism of soviet type, though in a modificated form.

Armenia is no longer a wrestling Republic. It is poor and not going anywhere. That's not socialism. That's a failed transition to capitalism and freedom. It is the same as Moldova and Tajikistan.

Akzent you might not be aware of it but capitalism cannot survive without poor nations. Who will pick the fruits on the farm, wash dishes in the restaurants, and fill engineering positions at high tech companies? Poor immigrants do that in America.

Capitalism requires half the world to be poor from where it can draw the necessary fuel for its dream.

Capitalisms one great strength is that it allows creative people to have an outlet for their creativity. I hope the Rooskies go back to communism, who needs the competittion? I've seen how creative Russians can be, who wants to compete against that?

One can also say that Ara became older and more experienced, and that is why he did better. Armenia v. Sweden system argument is purely speculative.

I compared 2 nations which have always been good in GR. Fact is that Ara became a good wrestler after moving from Armenia to Sweeden.

Age and experience aren't arguments. When Ara left Armenia (without any international success), he was 23. He was an old man ( = wrestler without future) in soviet/armenian wrestling terms.
