Today that may cost him that much, but when he smoked it wouldn't have because there were less taxes on cigs then. As to who he married, I always get a little skeptical when people start attacking the spouse, whether Dems' or Repubs'. My granddad used to say, "What's good for the goose is good for the gander."

Regarding Obama, I heard he quit prior to the election but don't know for sure the details on that, bottom line is, he has smoked more recently than McCain if that really matters, as for me; don't matter in regards to politics. If it comes to eating next to me in a restaurant, then it matters.

You are totally wrong ODH. If Obama takes a few cigs for the soul it is much different than a chimney McCain. That much smoking shows that a person has personal issues, lack of character and a brain all messed up from nicotine.
