    Default Bush Hinckley connection

According to the March 31,1981 edition ofthe Houston Post :and reported by AP,UPI,NBC News and Newsweek, Hinckley is the sonof one of George H.W.Bush's political and financial supporters in his 1980 presidential campaign against Ronald Reagan:John Hinckley'solder brother, Scott Hinckley, and vice -presisent Bush's son Neil Bush had a dinner appointment scheduled for the next day .

Jensen S-does this count or is this just more hyperbole ?

Sounds outrageous, but after a Google search, I find:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reagan_...pt#cite_ref-19

John Hinckley Jr. is the son of John Hinckley Sr., chairman of the oil company Vanderbilt Energy Corp., who was one of Vice President George H.W. Bush's larger political and financial supporters in his 1980 presidential primary campaign against Ronald Reagan. Also, John Hinckley Jr.'s older brother, Vanderbilt vice president Scott Hinckley, and the Vice President's son Neil Bush, had a dinner appointment scheduled for the next day.[20]

The Associated Press published the following short note on March 31, 1981:

The family of the man charged with trying to assassinate President Reagan is acquainted with the family of Vice President George Bush and had made large contributions to his political campaign....Scott Hinckley, brother of John W. Hinckley Jr. who allegedly shot at Reagan, was to have dined tonight in Denver at the home of Neil Bush, one of the Vice President's sons....The Houston Post said it was unable to reach Scott Hinckley, vice president of his father's Denver-based firm, Vanderbilt Energy Corp., for comment. Neil Bush lives in Denver, where he works for Standard Oil Co. of Indiana. In 1978, Neil Bush served as campaign manager for his brother, George W. Bush, the Vice President's eldest son, who made an unsuccessful bid for Congress. Neil lived in Lubbock, Texas, throughout much of 1978, where John Hinckley lived from 1974 through 1980.

BTW, just to be clear, although there does seem to be a relation here, there is no evidence to support that the assassination attempt on Reagan was in collusion with the Bush family (or if there is, I haven't seen it).

Contini -may I ask you a question -when you read about this connection and how far the Bush family went to disavow any knowledge of the Hinckley family -didn't -say for a nano-second -foul play cross your mind ?

I have tons of useless trivia on this stuff -that's why I stay out of politics .These people are evil.

    Pm me your answer.

Innocent until proven guilty. At least you should have some evidence of it before you claim it. I have not seen any evidence.

And he gave them to you, innocent until proven guilty. You don't seem to have much in the way of hard evidence to stand on.

Kind of like your deal with the Anne Frank thread back in the day.

I have plenty of evidence the Hinckley and Bush family knew one another -that is all i ever claimed .
Throwing the Anne Frank thing shows me you don't like being proved wrong .

Fine, the Bush and Hinckley families knew each other. Like contini says the fact that there was a relationship between the families gives no evidence that the Bush family facilitated Hinckley's assassination attempt on Reagan.

I brought the Anne Frank thread up because that was another example of you saying something with no evidence. That time everyone rallied up and destroyed you.
