This claim, a chestnut of right-wing conspiracy nuts, is of course false.

While the IRS may be legal, it bothers me that tax court is run in a different system with a different set of rules than the rest of our Judicial system.

The problem with taxes is that they just get higher. They were never intended for half the purposes they are used for in this country.

I'm not familiar with tax court but I assume it operates less formally, as other administrative law courts do. One reason for that is efficiency. Another is that, unlike criminal proceedings, your right to walk around freely is not at stake.

Didn't Reagan, and Bush, and maybe even Clinton give us tax "cuts"?

Reagan instituted huge tax decreases. Among others rates, he lowered the top marginal tax rate from the mid-60s to 35 (or something like that). Wiki says they went from 70% down to 28% but I don't remember that big of a swing; maybe it was. GHWB increased taxes (remember, no new taxes...and then he raised them). Clinton increased taxes by record amounts and ultimately only collected 40% of projected revenue growth.

GW decreased the top rate from 38 or 39 to 36.

I know Reagan did.

Bush Sr. lied and RAISED taxes.

Clinton PROMISED tax cut, but lied and raised them instead.

Not only is the IRS legit, but if you are disabled you have no advantage over the rest of us.....you still retain the obligation to file a return, pay tax on your income other than disablity pay from an insurance policy and to pay taxes just like the rest of us joes (and janes). You'll still pay taxes on capital gains
