I would be "ok" with what Bush said if he included: "Unless you try to reach top positions in such fields as politics in America, you will not be hurt as a Muslim".
And in the US you absolutely do not get punished for owning a Koran nor do you receive a death sentence for converting to Islam.
So, Obama did not get punished during West Virginia primary for owning Koran?

I told you already Bush said Islam is protected and not punished in America. Why should we interpret it on Muslim terms? Its their culture. They kill women for cheating. They hanged Hussein. In America people are not allowed to be hanged. Its a different culture.
