Calif. apparently has struck down their ban on same-sex marriages as unconstitutional (I assume per Calif's constitution). I haven't had time to really look at this but if anyone wants to read a long opinion:
Would you have expected anything else? California is a very liberal state, especially judicially. I'd be interested to read an opinion from a more moderate state.

There's no such thing as a pretty good aligator wrestler.
Also, after reading just the first couple of cases, looks like responsible judging, and not judicial activism as is often the case in some of these types of cases. The judges appear to be making their ruling basedo nthe rules of their state, which is proper, even if they don't agree with the acts in front of them. This is definitely going to have to go to the Supreme Court, methinks.
