Thread: Superdelegates

    Default Superdelegates

Looking through a list of superdelegates Superdelegates - Politico.com
made me wonder what's up with West Virginia's Robert Byrd. He's listed as Uncommitted. His support sure could have helped Obama yesterday. Maybe his long term memory is gone and he doesn't remember Obama helping him raise a bunch of money for his reelection two years ago. I'm just saying...

Well, let's be fair: he is a well documented racist.

This is somewhat off topic, but I keep hearing talk that Clinton would make a good Senate majority leader and/or that she's been an effective Senator--which makes me immediately think of LBJ who was "Master of the Senate" but who was not as successful as a President.

It definitely is true: Once a racist, always a racist...and that fits Byrd to a T.

Yes, and Byrd is still openly using the "n" word. However, and amazingly, most on here wouldn't find that to be racist.

I don't know about once a racist always a racist. I guess I just hope that some people can change. Probably a little naive.

However, in this case i think you are right on. He is still a racist.

Really? You've never been in on any of the discussions about the use of the "n" word and how if "they" get to use it, why am I racist if I use it?

Maybe not so much on here, but it was a regular source of argument "over there."
