Not at all, because in addition to the killing wrestling, it has also limited women's opportunities. Cutting men's sports instead of adding women's sports hardly helps out either group.

Even for some women that do weights, take a man and a woman of the same size. A woman is doing very little weight while a man is doing much heavier weights. That will never change! There are no restrictions at these clubs on what men and women can do and yet women prefer to lose weight while men prefer to get bigger and stronger muscles.
PS this is a gross generalization. I realize there are many exceptions on both sides.
Here you go Big. Funny Inflatable Dolls
(There's even a second one for when the first one turns you down)

Again, Big, you are using anecdotal evidence of your limited experience of America. This is NOT what it's like in most of the places I've worked out, which is the YMCA and hospital based health clubs.

Big, since women like to run more, should we direct all our track resources to women?
There's no such thing as a pretty good aligator wrestler.

Actually most of them walk fast rather than run.
They can have all the ellipticals they want.

I'm sure Big has the problem well in hand.

Your attempts to put me on the defensive notwithstanding... your assertion that Title IX isnt fatally flawed because it is currently being "misinterpreted" is naive at best. It is being applied just as its proponants wanted as they consistantly fight ANY change in the current interpretation.
I went over the top here when I questioned Bluestater's commitment to collegiate wrestling. I regret doing so.

Re: Equating men to women is a ridiculous American idea
Thank you, Tight Waist. I just think that the best place for us to solve this problem is the middle ground. If that makes me naive, I'll take it. Like in any issue, there are zealots on both sides who won't listen to reason, but if we work together, and not at one another, we have a much better chance of creating a solution. It may seem Pollyanna-esque, but it's the truth.

Somethings are so broke they just cant be fixed and I think in this case Title IX is turning into that.
