I believe you have it all wrong. Matclone gets his news from trusted sources - NBC, ABC, and a handful of wonderful tabloids in the grocery store check-out line.

No O'Reilly doesn't generally get upset. His usual technique is to frequently interrupt or shout down his guests. There's a film out about Fox (a different issue) that shows him browbeating a 19 year old kid whose father (I believe) was killed in Iraq so he was now protesting the war. This is appealing to the Archie Bunkers (ctc) of the world.

And just who does Moyers appeal to?

Face it. We all tend to appreciate those who advocate positions we agree with. O'Reilly is no more polemic than Moyers who characterizes Hannity's words as "political pornography" (All of which begs the question... Does he think that Hannity's political speech should be censored? And it also presents the diacotomy of liberalism and conservatism at their fringes. At the conservative end they want to protect political speech and ban porn and at the liberal end they want to ban political speech and protect porn.)

The Dixie Chicks? I would like to hear this one. Is it because their record sales went down and their concerts had to be canceled. They had every right to say what they did and we have every right not to buy their music.

I can't believe this!! Matclone is denouncing someone who appeals to emotion rather than reason!! This must be one of the biggest flip-flops in the history of the earth. All of matclone's posts have been about emotion and how bad people feel when their homes are foreclosed, how advertising sucks people in with emotion, and how lenders are predatory with emotion.

I'm very glad to see that matclone has seen thel ight and understands that emotion must take a back seat to objectivity. Matclone, this is how it feels to think like a conservative.

Remember that free speech works both ways. Just as someone has the right to say something derogative toward our country, others have the right not to like it.

All these people are ego maniacs. I've seen a lot worse than that, including my wrestling coach that used to throw a 5-pound wad of janitor keys at you (in practice) if you didn't work hard enough. This was back in the days when you had to go 90-minutes w/o water and fresh air in the wrestling room. Never ever a drop of water or fresh air from the door cracks. omg....

I've seen similar tirades from Bill Clinton getting heckled during speeches; of course, he didn't use the F-word, but his face got just as red, and his voice was just as angry.
