Saw yesterday Russian TV state Putin says the goal of Russia is to surpass living standards of England in 10 years.

Indeed, and with Russia's male life expectancy rate in the mid 50's and still declining, I don't think I'm going to far out on a limb in saying I don't see them making ol Vladdy Daddy's goal.

Life expectancy has nothing to do with living standards. They love their vodka.

I have tried to follow your logic here but with my limited intellect I simply can't-the last I heard Russia was dependant upon foreign oil til they can get the technology together to address the Siberian fields -so where is the ''oil money come to sweet Russia '' coming from ?
