Default A woman with little experience was Gonzales' aide

How does a woman with only a few years of legal experience and after graduation from a low ranking law school become Attorney General's top aide?

Well, she graduated from a Christian school founded by Pat Robertson and, being a good looking female, she was "willing to do what it takes". She had the powers to hire and fire many top officials.

WASHINGTON, May 23 — A former top Justice Department aide testified on Wednesday that she had “crossed the line” in considering the political beliefs of applicants for nonpartisan legal jobs and suggested that earlier testimony by Attorney General Alberto R. Gonzales and another top official about the dismissals of federal prosecutors may have been flawed.

How do you know what law school she went to, and what does that have to do with anything?

I like how she worked as an "opposition researcher" at the RNC. Negativity in action.

    Education
Goodling received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1995 from Messiah College, a Christian institution. She received her J.D. in 1999 from Regent University Law School, a Christian institution founded by Pat Robertson.[2] According to her resume, Goodling also attended Washington College of Law at American University for one year, and was in the top 20 percent of her class.[3]

Notice it is in tier 4 and there are only 4 tiers.

The US News rankings are bs. They're selling a friggin' product, not the truth, and schools dance. How the hell did people decide where to go to school before?

Alright, off my bandwagon: even if she went to the poorest of colleges, where everyone goes to church twice a week, that doesn't mean she's not qualified for the job or incompetent in any way.

    Top law firms would disagree.

Not because of US News; because of school reputations, which were developed long before some marketing manager had a great new idea for a product.

Oh, and I disagree anyway. It doesn't mean she's incompetent or unqualified.

The former Governor of Iowa: Tom Vilsack, is one of the smartest men I've seen and he went to some "podunk" (by US News standards) law school in upstate NY. How the hell did he learn anything there, if US News didn't sanctify it?

Arnold Schwarznegger is a governor also. That doesn't qualify him for an aide to Attorney General.

www.leiterrankings.com has rankings by student quality (GPA and LSAT) and faculty quality ranked by various methods. I see her law school no where.
